She told reporters that the industry expects Congress will renew the credit rather than let it expire in anticipation of a broader debate next year on tax reform. An extension for projects that are started next year is contained in a Senate tax breaks extension bill that is expected to see action when lawmakers reconvene for a year-end session next week.
Bode said it would be unlikely that Congress would allow business tax credits to expire and allow the looming automatic spending cuts known as the fiscal cliff to happen.
