U.K. public energy plan could include $1.2 billion of renewable power buys

The United Kingdom's Government Procurement Service, tasked with purchasing energy and other services for the government, could spend up to $1.2 billion on renewable power generators as part of a trial program that starts next year, Bloomberg reports.
