Study: Light absorption could accelerate Arctic ice decline

A first-of-its-kind study presented by a German research institute and the University of Colorado, Boulder reported that the rate at which water below the Artic sea ice absorbs sunlight could accelerate the decrease in ice levels, The New York Times reports.
