ALTOONA, Iowa (AP) — Sen. Marco Rubio is telling Iowa Republicans he understands their frustration with the results from Election Day but is urging them not to lose hope or abandon their principles.

Rubio told an audience Saturday night that he doesn't believe President Barack Obama won re-election because the country's views have changed so dramatically. Rubio, a rising star in the GOP who could make a White House run in 2016, says the United States needs to return to conservative principles or else risk losing its global dominance.
