NRG Energy to pay settlement, cut emissions at plant

In a settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency and Justice Department, a unit of NRG Energy will pay a fine of $3.5 million and invest $250 million in emissions control equipment at its coal-fired plant in Louisiana, Reuters reports.
