The U.S. Departments of State and Treasury announced new sanctions on Iran on Thursday, designating several companies and individuals that Washington accuses of assisting the Islamic Republic's atomic program. The move comes as IAEA officials are in Iran requesting access to sites where Iran is suspected of having conducted work connected to nuclear weaponization. Early reports had indicated that Tehran would decline those requests. CNN reports.
