It turns out not even the government wants to pay the IRS.
The nation's tax-collection agency wasn't fully reimbursed for services it provided to other government agencies, according to a study by the Treasury Department's Inspector General for Tax Administration.
During 2011, the IRS signed-on to 89 agreements to help other agencies, and was reimbursed $90 million for expenses. But that didn't provide for an additional $28 million in IRS expenses that weren't covered, the report said.
