Euro Zone Recession Worsens As Core, Periphery Economies Contract

New economic figures have been published showing that the euro zone economy contracted over the final quarter of 2013. Reuters notes that the overall decline was largely a function of contractions in the German and French economies, but that embattled periphery countries were particularly hard hit. Youth unemployment in Greece reached 62%.
