WASHINGTON (AP) — The minority leaders of the House and Senate are surrounding themselves with the triumphant faces of newly elected lawmakers. But the glow of victory isn't hiding Election Day failures.
The onetime House speaker and the first woman to hold the office, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, touted the diversity of her caucus on Tuesday, even though her quest to flip 25 seats and gain control of the House failed by two-thirds.
