Rob Gramlich, the group's senior vice president for public policy, will become acting CEO upon Bode's departure Jan. 1, AWEA Chairman Tom Carnahan said.
Bode joined the group four years ago after stints on Capitol Hill and at the American Clean Skies Foundation and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Gramlich is a former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff member.
In a statement, Bode said that congressional adoption of the one-year tax credit extension would complete the goals she was given by the group's board of directors.
